As my wife and I were going through Trader Joe’s, we noticed that they rearranged the wine section again (argh!). When I shop for wine I really like when the store organizes the wine by variety as opposed to region. The Trader Joe’s we go to use to organize by variety, now they changed to region. So, as I was walking around confused and disoriented, my always calm and cool wife Paula found a really nice Bordeaux to try. The moment I opened this wine I knew it would be good. The aroma has some nice fruity overtones with light hints of oak. The initial start or front side of this wine has great plum and grape notes. As French wines go this is not too dry. I really liked the ending to this wine, soft and lasting. This wine goes with just about anything but especially red meats and tomato sauce. We had the wine with burgers, grilled lamb chops, bacon wrapped jalapeños and it was great. I give this wine 4 glasses.
