This blog is about a French wine, Cotes-Du-Rhone, I got from my Wall Street Journal wine club. This is a very nice, lighter red wine, mainly from the Rhone region of France which is known for their Grenache with 25 % Syrah giving it a nice red color. The wine has a very nice front side, which is very light, and a back-end that gives you a really nice dry feeling on the mouth making it great for red meat and anything with tomato would be nice. We are having this with some wonderful cheese. Your softer cheeses, not so sharp, go well with this wine. Do not try this wine with a harder cheese, it is not good. We had it with the Gombozola and Apricot cheese. It would also be marvelous with Brie cheese. It did not go well with the Asiago or Gruyère cheese.
