A Sangiovese from Walla Walla Washington? Yes, a Sangiovese from Walla Walla Washington! I just like saying Walla Walla Washington. Anyway, this Guido (another word I like to say) hails from Walla Walla Washington and is a 100% Sangiovese. Medium garnet with notes of oak, tobacco, cherry, strawberry jam, leather and roasted tomatoes (yum)! Medium body with light tannins and high acidity and a fairly long finish make this wine the perfect pairing for our Italian tacos, yes I said Italian tacos. What are Italian tacos? Tri-tip steak grilled on a Traeger wood pellet grill with fresh fire roasted chilies smothered in garlic and olive oil, all on a crisp fresh corn tortilla. We decanted the wine for 2 hours and it was at its absolute perfection with our tacos. I give this wine 4 solid glasses.
