During the day, I am a school teacher so when my wife brought home this wine on Father’s Day, I told her, but honey, school is out. She said, I know, but this is Liberty School and it’s a Cabernet. How could I resist? And I’m glad I didn’t, what a nice wine. It starts off with a cherry bouquet with some light hints of oak. It is very smooth on the tongue with a jammy texture – filled with berry notes of strawberry and cherry as well as hints of licorice.
It paired really well with cheese. We also had it with gluten free pepperoni pizza. Make no mistake about it, it was good with the pizza, but this wine is really made for a cheese plate. I give this wine 4 glasses.
